Why the trade needed its own network
Qualified SPF installers are harder to find than most trades, especially during the spring and summer construction season when demand for insulation and roofing crews spikes across the board. That scarcity means GCs often end up hiring the sub who's simply available, not necessarily the one who's the best fit for a specific project — and it means good subcontractor crews sometimes sit idle between jobs simply because the right GC never found them.
Part of that scarcity comes down to the equipment itself — a plural-component rig is a real investment, which naturally limits how many crews can enter the trade compared to lower-barrier work. A dedicated, SPF-only network solves a real coordination problem on top of that: it gives GCs a faster way to reach crews with matching coverage and specialty, and it gives subcontractors a way to be found by demand they'd otherwise miss entirely.
What we are — and aren't
We're a matching and listing network. GCs and builders submit projects; SPF subcontractors submit business listings; matching requests and listings connect the two sides. That's the whole model.
We are not a staffing agency or an employer of record for any subcontractor. We are not an insurance provider, and we don't verify coverage, licensing, or credentials on anyone's behalf — that responsibility sits with the hiring GC, using the same due diligence they'd apply to any subcontractor. And we're not a party to any subcontract, pricing agreement, or payment arrangement between a GC and a sub — that relationship is always theirs, direct.
